Current Events » in reply to "Sovereignity" Coalition-style, with a bit of "democracy" thrown in.

How can you two speak out of both sides of your mouth so easily?

A. Iraq is a "puppet government" which the US controls and manipulates.

B. Iraq's sovereign government is being dominated by ruthless, murdering oppressors.

So which is it?

The fact the British had to knock down a wall to effect a jailbreak seems to be a pretty good sign that the Iraqi government doesn't take orders from the Bush, Rumsfeld, Blair or any "occupation army". As a matter of fact this same event can be used to illustrate just how sovereign they really are.

Obviously there is a lot more to the story than we are aware of yet.

Gloating over these things, as some sort of proof of British/US evil imperialism, is just like Tom pointing at Palestinians dismantling greenhouses, and by doing so, implying most Palestinians are a bunch of thieving, destructive thugs.

Doesn't it strike you obvious that you're all just plugging in selected news events to accomodate your own worldview and opinion?

Ideologues do that.

All around the HZ, I see ideologues hellbent on proving their beliefs to the exclusion of common sense.
