Its akin to working out the obvious.

"Now imagine these are already there."

Yes, I would have to imagine it, because nothing like that exists, at least nothing on the microprocessor level. Beyond that, what that would end up being is little more than M.A.C.s or fixed IP. Withou a hard map to physical locations or personal identity, that is updated and accurate- no more or no less useful. Fodder for bad scifi and worse conspiracy theories, but thats about it.

"..the first set of revisions to any beta version."

Robert and I are picking the low-hanging fruit- the intuitively obvious stuff. If the designers of this system took the time to R&D the software and architecture to do this, I'm sure it would be just as obvious to them as well. We probably have barely even scratched the surface. There are probably many layers of onion to go before we're to the unknown stuff. Thats usually how innovation works.

"There are other means being developed to trace physical location data from source computers."

Name some. Go ahead. I'm waiting. Include references.

And don't bother with the stuff anyone with a good shell, a browser and an internet connection could do.

And don't make vague statements about Top Secret stuff roumered to exist.

"And who is afraid of the NSA in the first place? These folks are the good guys. Unless you harbor some terror laden anti-American agenda, you got nothing to worry about.

Think of the NSA data identification as akin to cell-phone triangulation for emergency services. "

I hope you are kidding.
