Does the Earth have too much water?

Wouldn’t more ocean area dissolve more CO2 and turn it into Limestone? Therefore cooling off the Earth and causing the sea level to lower, causing less CO2 to be dissolved, causing the Earth to heat up and then back where we started.

Too bad we can not dig out a huge sea in the middle of the Sahara desert. The material dug out could be used to build mountains to trap moister coming off the new sea. We could ‘terraform’ the Sahara into a tropical rain forest and lower the sea level at the same time.

There may be more feasible means to ‘terraforming’ the Sahara.
