re: Magnificent Desolation lack of attendence

When I saw it there were less than 10 people in the theater. I heard one of the astronauts at the first showing in Washington expounding that this is so great it will pack IMAX theaters all over the country. It’s not happening. Is it lack of interest or is IMAX is not publicizing it enough.

I called my older brother who is a space enthusiast like me and he had never heard of it. He didn’t know what I was talking about. I saw a news story on it the first day, but that’s about all. The general public really has no idea that this film is out there. I guess it’s up to us to pass the word around.

There may be other reasons. My wife and daughter claim they can’t stand to watch the IMAX 3D movies because it gives them headache, so I can’t even get my family to go. I get the same thing from my sister. She would love to go but gets headaches from watching 3D movies. I fear it will not be widely seen.
