re: Magnificent Desolation lack of attendence
Agreed about the need for word of mouth. NSS-North Texas did a World Space Week event at the Frontiers of Flight museum and most of the folks we talked to hadn't heard of the movie.
One of our chapter members was smart enough to ask astronaut Walt Cunningham what he thought of the movie at a talk he gave Thursday night at FoF, and he recommended it. Kind of an older crowd though. We had a lot of kids at our event, but we didn't necessarily talk about the movie with every single batch (they seemed to come in waves).
I will definitely be seeing it again.
