Don't forget about tar sand and oil shale.

Canada is getting about half of their total oil production from those two resources. The US alone has over 1 TRILLION barrels of oil locked away in tar sand, and that's what is thought to be recoverable with current or near term technology. There's far more if other recovery technologies pan out.
