If people obstruct the investigation, say by lying to the grand jury, then the time will run out before the grand jury has gathered enough information to frame an indictment. Seeding confusing through obstruction of justice is one way to run out the clock on a grand jury's term.
Tell me what Libby concealed during the investigation that, had it been known from day one, would have made a difference.
In other words, if Libby had told the truth from the beginning, who do you think would have been indicted, and why?
For reference, the indictment release along with descriptions of the information concealed and revealed, is here.
The truth is that most of what was going to come out of this case has been known for months by those seriously looking into it (not the hysterical Left, dreaming of Cheney in handcuffs.) Wilson himself in his book published back in 2003 said it was Libby.
The Democrats are backing and filling as fast as they can, but most of the reporters have packed up and gone home, and next week there'll be a new Supreme Court nominee to talk about.
The Left gave it their best shot, and maybe if Fitzgerald had less integrity, they could have pulled it off.

Nice try.
