So, there IS a fine line as to what constitutes the legal ramifications of the unearthing of Plames' identity. But lets look at the PRINCIPLES first.

Maybe Libby isn't guilty.
Maybe no one is.
But it's the EXAMPLE set.

Bush pushed this war on us. Not only were millions of Americans and people worldwide against this war, and not only did Bush win his first election by one of the slimmest margins in history (with a lot of chad counting), that when ANYONE resisted his decision or complained loudly, they were smeared, fired, intimidated, arrested, held up at airports or made out to be unpatriotic. At it's height, people were calling us traitors or "Saddam lovers".

Give it time to fester anger at the abuse we suffered.
Hey, if someone's going to climb up on a pedestal with behaviour like THAT, they had better watch themselves, as all the minions in the kingdom are ready to knock him OFF that stool.
Time passes. The media reports and people SEE that there are those within the administration that take what is LEFT of our good values, and use them against us, as a reminder to behave. Plames' outing is an act of revenge, clear and simple. And we are sick and tired of being manipulated and intimidated, so we get up in arms....it's our only chance. Find the treasonous in those who found US treasonous.

Bingo. So now we smell blood and rightfully so. Could this all have been a mistake? Blown out of proportion even?
Possibly. But it serves the purpose, that what you give....is what you get. And this type of public example of the situation brings it all back into BALANCE.

SEX (you got it, between two consenting adults in a back room somewhere), versus WAR and the bloody bits of thousands of bodies and psyches across the world.
