The Clinton Administration needed WMD in Iraq to give Clinton a distraction and to get Gore elected.
Ms. Plame gave that to them.
But then Bush stole Florida, and suddenly Iraq became "Bush's war" as opposed to "Gore's Glorious clash against evilâ€.
The war was a certainty due to a CIA disinformation campaign… It didn’t matter who was elected President.
Bush won, 9/11 happened (as it was bound to sooner or later), and Bush acted on the manufactured intelligence.
Wilson knew of the CIA deception and saw a big problem…He and his wife were about to be hung out to dry by the intelligence community after the WMD claims were proven to be a complete fabrication (first hatched by the Clinton Administration, and then later adopted by the Bush Administration). Wilson then either knowingly, or unknowingly, created this whole “outing†mess to cover his and his wife’s complicity in the WMD lie.

P.S. Read the above very carefully... Note that I am reporting that both the Clinton Administration and the Bush Administration created the WMD lie. The CIA was turned into a political tool that missed 9/11 probably because it was focused on creating a myth of WMD's in Iraq.
