Not that easy.

Your main problem is I know a hell of a lot more about what's going on over there than you do. Which isn't saying much.

In fact, you don't know squat. You don't know who the al Qaeda leadership is, who's been moving up as top leaders are caught or killed, which people are moving into which areas, which ones are being chased out, and how the pipelines are running from Syria and elsewhere. You don't know what percentage of al Qaeda in Iraq have come in from other countries, how many are native Iraqi, how many became terrorists since March of 2003, and how many have been terrorists for years and are just heading for the fight.

There are some graphics here and here. The latter set is from Senate testimony by General Abizaid. Study them for a while and see if you find out anything you didn't know before. If you want, go through that list of terrorists and if you can show me that these people were grocery clerks before March of 2003, you might have something then.

So in fact you have nothing that shows that there are significantly more terrorists altogether now than there used to be. If 500 terrorists are in Iraq that used to be based in Syria or Iran, or Afghanistan for that matter, what does that prove about "creating terrorists?"

Your thesis is as ridiculous as the idea that Nazi soldiers were being "created" in France and Poland during WWII, or Japanese troops were being "created" in the Pacific front.

It's just one more sound bite that you hope will sink in if it's repeated often enough.

"We haven't caught bin Laden yet." That's about your top speed, and the top speed of MSNBC. Stick with it.
