Recent reports indicate that global warming is happening on Mars at the same time it's happening here. Hmmm, let's see. What do Mars and the Earth have in common? Could it possibly be the Sun? Reduction in solar output is reportedly the cause of the Little Ice Age* that lasted from roughly 1350 to 1850. Could it be that an increase in solar output not only ended the Little Ice Age but is the prime factor behind the warming trend measured since 1850?
*Before someone accuses me of suddenly being in favor of computer models, there is ample geologic and astronomic evidence to support the theory that decreased solar activity caused the Little Ice Age. The History Channel recently broadcast a 2 hour program titled Little Ice Age: Big Chill. It's available on DVD and they'll probably rebroadcast it before long.

Global warming on Mars might be a sign that something other than CO2 is causing it

- Yeah, global warming is 'natural'
- 27% percent higher than last year?
- global warming is 'natural' on Mars?
- R.L., do you have any idea why the last ice age ended?
- re: Yeah, global warming is 'natural'
- I'd like to see the graphs
- Global cooling is too
- Ya but you have to look at the big picture.
