The difference here is absolutely obvious. Bill Clinton is not being accused of calling national heroes cowards and unpatriotic.
Neither is Cheney. But nice try at trying to spread the smear around a bit. A single comment made by someone who was also in the Marines, quoted on the House floor, and all of a sudden everybody said it.
I don't accuse Clinton of statements James Carville made, either.
BTW, I thought you were in the Navy, or am I mixing you up with somebody else?
