Instead of pasting imaginary motivations on to the terrorists, you might want to look up some of their own writings, and see what they thought of our previous ineffective responses to terrorist acts, and what their goals are now. Remember, we lost almost 3,000 people on 9/11 for the perceived crime of having a few troops stationed in Saudi Arabia to support the U.N.'s No-Fly Zones. We had not invaded anyone, and had zero troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. You honestly think that if we had just stayed home and buried our dead back then that it would have ended there?
BTW, Bin Laden has probably been dead for months, and Zarqawi's clock is rapidly running out, especially since his own family and tribe are now after him. The glorious triumph of terrorism in Iraq is largely wishful thinking on some people's part.
