Liberal mythology
There's a long list of "reasons" they have come up with why the oil under Alaska would do us no good at all, as opposed to just leaving it in the ground.
One of them is that we would sell all the oil overseas. Even if that were true, what in the world are we gaining by the Chinese paying Venezuela for the oil instead of pumping their dollars into the U.S.? Trade deficits, anyone?
This isn't about the environment for most Democratic politicians, and never was.
