A fair question
They have posted pics of themselves and have been interviewed by mainstream media including the NY Times and BBC. So yes they are real Iraqis. They formed a political party and ran in the elections but didn't have the resources to compete with the larger political blocs. They often talk about the bad news such as what is going on in Kirkuk and Anbar but they also go into great detail about day to day politics and views of Iraqis on the street.
I know it must be difficult to believe some Iraqis actually welcomed the overthrow of Saddam but apparently there were at least two of them.
The Iraqi blog links on the right are also very informative. Many are not pro-american.
