Self-deprecating humor is entirely lost here.
It was a joke - not a sincere flame.
My flames aren't mean and nasty. I get absolutely no satisfaction out of hurting some other person's feelings and in fact such brings me only regrets. If my comments inspire self-introspection or just a tiny bit of inner assesment - then I'm more than content.
Posting on 'Flame' is more like HZ psycho-analysis and is not the old msnbc general topic board filled with juvenile namecalling by equally insecure individuals.
The best 'flames' are ones that don't anger folks, but cause them to think and self-assess. Angering folks is easy. The former is extremely difficult.
I realize brevity is not my forte, by a longshot, and realize likewise that a short attention span is other folks' liability.
