...but in what percentage to Iraq posts? And when they do post - how many times is it "Bush's fault" for not doing anything?*
Iraq is suddenly the center of the known universe and its casualties are by FAR the most important casualties on Earth. Google News had 15 news articles on the Sudan refugees. While an Iraq article with a FAR lesser tragedy (7 dead) ranks 1,231 plus.
That's more than quite a disparity - that's the left controlling what people get to know. If I didn't know what was going on, what keywords to use and where to look, I'd be stuck with Google News' (and the rest of the media's) default, leftist, cockeyed view of the world.
In that sense, it's each persons responsibility to educate themselves on world events and the big picture. Expecting to get it passively by reading or watching the news turns one into a trained parrot.
I'm not saying that folks on the left don't have genuine humanitarian impulses - I'm saying that, when they post, they are generally far and away outweighed by exploitive and selfish desires. Like the doctor who chooses to go into medicine primarily because of the salary, the left is not evil - just lying to themselves about their own nobility and intentions.
You disagree?
*It's a fascinating dichotomy to see the US clobbered for non-intervention in one human rights disaster and a nation's sovereignity and then clobbered when one does intervene. I guess that's part of the "US foreign policy is always wrong" mantra.

Sure, the left may post about these things.
