Tough question on the Zogby poll
If the election for President were held today and the candidates were Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican John McCain, for whom would you vote?
Now that is a stumper. I'm in the middle of taking the survey, and I'm wrestling with that one.
I once voted for McCain, in California's one and only open primary, and I still have a lot of respect for the man. My biggest reservation comes from the fact that many Republicans don't share my opinion and the Party is likely to block him as they did in 2000. That "RINO" label is the kiss of death for a Republican; too many in the extremist wing hate moderates and consider them traitors to the Party.
Hillary has her, uh, charms, shall we say with some poetic license. She's already been through the wringer of RightWing character assassination, which makes her almost bulletproof by now. Smart, tough, positioning herself toward the center....
Decisions, decisions....
