Did it seed the Galaxy?

Bill Napier, an astronomer of some notoriety, has performed similar numerical studies that show transfer of microbes to other star systems, especially during stellar near-misses and passage through molecular clouds. It's possible Earth was seeded by older star systems.
I wonder if Europa had a temporary atmosphere in its early days? That'd help transfer immensely.
