Leaving aside the somewhat simpleminded concept that $250 billion pulled out of our defense and other war-related industries could simply be transferred painlessly to whatever liberal wet-dream one might have...

Leaving aside the Iraqis themselves...

Is it your contention that America would be better off having left Saddam and his sons in power?
