My position on space...
An enormous amount of money has been spent on the government space program for somewhat mixed results, particularly in the manned space area.
Almost a generation after the Moon landings, and countless billions of dollars later, we are basically rebuilding the Apollo system. Pardon me if I'm not overly impressed. Long-range investments in space system, like nuclear, or reusable, tend to either fall by the wayside or become gigantic boondoggles like the X-33.
I think the private manned space industry has a lot more potential. We'll see.
