Current Events » in reply to Bringing democracy to Iraq is NOT why this war was started

And you call Bush a Liar?

#1 reason) Iraq's Nukes - oops. Problem for Democrats they believed the same thing. They didn't act because they were gutless wonders not because they had superior knowledge. They believe in Carter style appeasment tactics.

#2 reason) Violation of UN Sanctions. Gets 0 press. Reason - cause its proven the violations were far worse than thought with the UN caught with its' hand in the cookie jar.

#3 reason) Bringing Democracy to Iraq. Mentioned from the very start contrary to BS master claims around here. Reason we don't do it everwhere? History lesson:

a) See reasons 1 and 2.
b) We are partly responsible for Hussein's grip on power (often mentioned by liberals but ignored in this context)
c) We encouraged rebellion after GW1, but failed to support it resulting in much slaughter.
d) We failed to fully enforce no fly zones on helicopters resulting in much slaughter
e) In short we owe the removal of Saddam to the Iraqi's unlike most of the dictatorships out there.
f) We certainly can't afford to fight every dictatoship at once. You have got to prioritize. Again see 1 and 2.
g) Civilian casualties are a concern. War is justified only where civilians are being killed at a great rate already or a clear and present danger to the US itself exists.

It's really not that hard to come up with these answers if you bother to use your mind, pay attention to news, and retain key facts for more than 2 years.

see ya.
