"Both are demagogues, they lie, they mislead, they twist the facts... and when someone that disagrees with them manages to call in and call them on their mis-statements they shout over them and disconnect them... (Hannity is the worst offender on this point)."
It's horrible. I listen sometimes, just to hear what Colmes says:)
"They are BOTH arrogant fools. Both make boastful claims about how important they and their show are. Their fans gush about how they are mindless followers... 'Dittoheads'..."
I just can't imagine why anyone would spend anytime listening to this stuff. Yes, guess it can be sort of funny in a sick way. Reminds of Howard Stern, but I have a slight bit more patience for Stern.
But I do like Hugh Hewitt and actually have spent some time recently listening [and he is certainly a conservative]. I listen via internet I have radioblogger bookmarked:
http://radioblogger.com/
He has some interesting guests- and that's what is generally interesting: the interaction with the guests. Charlie Rose is also good in this regard- but don't listen to Rose, much anymore- not religiously like I once did.
Brian Lamb, Charlie Rose, and Hugh Hewitt are pretty good at art of interviewing- Tim Russell isn't too bad and is probably best of the networks.
