Why not just buy a new HDD?

I want the data of'n that drive, and isn't a thing wrong with the blasted gadget. A software bug. Call it a matter of pride.

Aside from the fact that I'd have to order one, and pay for it ... with real money. Computer goodies is scarce out here in the sticks, and twice as expensive if purchased locally.
