I checked the website you suggested and learned Gridley was in the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club at the same time Dewey was, but I don't remember her. We had the same mission, combat patrol and escort, although I gather neither of us ever engaged the enemy while we were there. As far as ENS Kerry's wartime service is concerned, I know nothing, except that ALL boot ensigns are goofballs.
