R.L. does know what he's talking about, and without going into technical detail, some of the things attributed to these "secret laser weapons" are equivalent to someone claiming that shooting something with a .45 pistol will change its color to bright green, or cause mushrooms to sprout from it.
You don't need a debate, or accumulation of evidence, to prove that you can't fit an entire live elephant into a standard sewing thimble. That's how you immediately recognize crap. People who have utterly burnt out their capacity for rational judgment have trouble with this.
