...and that makes a difference. If you really want to take Frank and RL to task, as opposed to just flaming at them, raise the issue on Community. Offenses taking place on Flame are off the table by definition, but if there's more, that's a legitimate subject for discussion.
Remember that the thread on Flame containing the abuses (plural and multiparty) started out a non-flaming Flame thread. You might have been lulled into a false sense of affability by that, and so maybe RL's scream-and-leap seemed inappropriate and a sort of betrayal of the truce. The thing is, though, he was on Flame and didn't violate any rules to do what he did. That's why I felt free to respond in kind by calling him an "asshole" instead of doing anything substantive about it.
Ya know, Lindy, you can be tough as nails when you want, and you don't really need protection. It's the fact that you often aren't looking for a fight when RL jumps you that bothers me and rubs my sense of fair play the wrong way. But here on Flame, you're on your own, and if you choose to play the flame game, I might join in to gang up on RL (there are also no rules of fair play on Flame, AFAIK) but that's for sport.
Your first post on this thread was pure sport flaming, but "Why stir the pot?" has overtones of official business. Complaints aired on Flame (and in flames) are hard to take seriously, so if you're serious, you need to post on Community.
Hmmm....just spotted "re: None of the above"...yep, similar theme of complaint about moderators, similar response from me about raising it on Community.

But of course, this is the Flame board
