Launch time for the first North Korean missile was 2:32 PM Eastern Time.

Shuttle launch time was 2:38 PM Eastern Time.

Speculation Department:

I'm calling it. North Korea tried to slip one past us while our attention was distracted by a Shuttle launch, including two SCUD decoys, and still got blown out of the sky by an AEGIS or some less-public ABM technology.
