Hezbollah and the PR war.

They have this down to a fine art, and are helped by the political leanings of much of the media.

Hezbollah has been trying like hell to engineer an incident like this for two weeks, deliberately setting up offensive weapons in suburbs (see post below), and preventing civilians from evacuating when they do make the civilian areas into war zones.

They are hoping Israel will withdraw, which Hezbollah will play as an enormous victory, and then continue to arm south Lebanon to the teeth like they have been doing under the noses of the U.N. for six years after Israel left the territory.

And the Useful Idiots around the world are sucking this all up like a carp taking bait. First Law of the Left.

Meanwhile, try to find articles like this on civilian deaths in Israel. Note the usual lumping of Hezbollah guerillas killed in with the civilians in the news articles.
