"It shows the average Iraqi, that we are willing to take a slug or an explosion and keep going. We have a higher purpose."
Oh, and they're sooo happy with us, they're lining up to join us. Well, some have voted and some are on the police force, teaching in schools or are trying to create a government but their families and friends (if not themselves) are being attacked by "insurgents" (or insert-your-favorite-terrorist-slogan-of-the-day here) to destabilize not only the "new", liberated Iraq but they're fighting the westernization of Iraq tooth and nail.
Our forces, aided by the Iraqis can't even secure Bagdad.
>" neither of us question the legality of the overthrow of Saddam".
It wasn't legal according to international law. Period. It was an invasion and occupation ("regime change") of a sovereign country on the pretext that Sadam was in bed with Bin Laden. I'd like to remind you that all Saudis got a free pass. You know, the ones who attacked the Twin Towers.
Now here's the kicker:
>"A) Our 'enemy' is seriously disturbed and needs help. "
How about the rest of the Middle East? The tribes in the Sudan and Africa? North Korea? Since when are we the world's psychiatrist and caretaker? We can't even take care of our own.
>"B) Our 'enemy' is brainwashed, and very dangerous - to others & himself."
Huh? Where five years ago the only "enemies' we had were Bin Laden's Al Queda, now we have thousands more joining his cause against America world wide. Even copy-cat, home grown isurgents/terrorists/ take-your-pick slogan of the day.
>"C) Our enemy's power lays almost SOLELY in his ability to indoctrinate the young."
No shit shinola. And you're right, we'll have GENERATIONS of them now, hating us and our Jewish allies who they see are in a holy war against them.
And you're damn right to be dreaming about 6 yr. old muslim suicide bombers. They've called for Jihad. Bush should have stopped at Afganistan and used the other countries' intelligence to handle Al Queda, and the UN and nuclear inspectors to police other countries in the Middle East on their nuclear fascilities. But nooooooo, he declared war on the Axis of Evil.
And this Jihad, this holy war will be fought right here in this country, with young Islamics, and their wanna-be's, domestic terrorism of every stripe. And you sit there smuggly in this new awareness and blame the Left??
Tech, you've lost it. You're hopeless.
