and in 2000 Israel offered about 95% of the West Bank to the Palestinians in exchange for a peace settlement. The Palestinians under Arafat rejected the proposal without offering a counterproposal and offered instead...more terrorism...

(by the way the offer of 95% of the West Bank was extremely generous and much more then the Palestinians deserved, given the fact that Jews have lived in some West Bank areas for centuries, and second that the Palestinians weren't being forced to pay reparations, as many are who commit acts of agression, start wars, then lose them...just ask the Germans about that)
