One of the major flaws in the mythology...

A big part of the liberal myth is "OUR guy would have done it right."

One of the issues of contention in the report (check it out near the end) was the exclusion of intelligence reports prior to the Bush administration. These reports came to the same damn conclusions about WMD, threats, and everything else.

Liberals back off and say, "Well, Clinton didn't INVADE because of it, did he?"

No, he did kill hundreds of Iraqis in Desert Fox (who cares, right?), but no Americans died. But that isn't the issue. The issue is that the Clinton administration, and their dutiful allies in Congress, believed exactly the same things about Saddam that Bush did. Hell, they were using the same intelligence people, so it isn't that surprising. If you insist on being dense about this, we can go back and for about the ninth time, go over all the speeches and quotes from that time.

This uncomfortable truth puts the lie to "Bush lied." Which is why it keeps getting ignored.

You don't think there's a reason the Left goes psycho whenever pre-2001 intelligence and security issues come up? Even in that silly ABC movie?
