Disgusted with the whole process

We're just getting our power back.
We've been confused.
We followed the red herring.
In shock after 9/11, we were told we needed war, that there was an "axis of evil" and GWB declared open warfare on several countries. Just because we only started bombing one of them, didn't matter......they were ALL evil.

"You're either with us, or against us".
Anthrax was thrown about, Homeland "Security" raised it's ugly head, the Constitution and the Geneva Convention started slipping into the toilet, and Americans were left hanging....with their mouths open.

Since then we've been stumbling in the dark. We followed our leaders right over a cliff. Some of us are stiil hanging on by our nails. Others have hit rock bottom. Powerful influences stacked the courts and Congress in their favor. Corruption was/is rampant.
What's a good American to do?

I think, as Robert Shepherd says, America will have the chance to right itself after the November elections if we can guarantee the honesty of the vote. I don't think the Democrats were spineless (on the contrary); they were just emasculated. The urge is still there.
I think we'll come back twice as strong as long as there are no "phoney, fear-mongering attacks" just before critical voting times to keep the liberals disempowered. And I believe the current administration WOULD do that.
