When I was a long distance commuter I would listen to Money Talk on Sunday with Bob Brinker.
He is a smart guy and taught me more about investing than I ever learned in school or business.
He was a big believer in a split government with the WH and Congress controlled by different parties. I was dubious about that at the time but most of his predictions of problems related to full control have come true. No doubt with all the right pieces in place a unified government could be a renaissance but considering the quality of leadership we have seen in the last few decades......
Overall Bill Clinton had a pretty good run as president and it was imo because he did not have Congress in his pocket. If Bush had been forced to deal with a dem House and/or Senate, we might not be so polarized.
It will be interesting to see how the people swing in November.
