‘Twas primary and the slimy Roves
did gyre and spin in its wake
All mimsy were the politicos
As power was sought for power’s sake
“Beware the Jabbertalk, my son!
The sounderful bites, the talking points
Beware the Blog Blog quoters, and shun
the frumious issues they anoint!â€
He took his votal lever in hand:
and long time he stood in thought—
Paralyzed was he, by the Jabbertalky,
slowly understanding that they had said naught…
And, as in truefish thought he stode
the Jabbertalk seemed droomily lame
And whiffeling through his clouded mind, the issues that mattered showed
He knew the Jabbertalk must be slain!
Yea and Nay! Yea and Nay! On the issues he used his head,
A bad proposition he struck down, because it had a rider
The jabbertalk was as good as dead
because HE was now the ‘decider’.
“Thou hast slain the Jabbertalk,
Oh fabrulous day, you are now a thinking voter
On this land no more will walk
The unthinking Blog Blog quoter!â€
‘Twas primary and all the slimy Roves
did gyre, gimble, quake, and quover
The Jabbertalk would rule no more
Not with an educated voter….
