You seem to have it backwards.
(though the Right will, of course, deny that the outcome in any way reflects the popular will and could only have happened because the evil geniuses in the DNC pulled the strings...[snort] those bozos? Their very incompetence affirms the popular will).
Every election for the past 6 years, it's been the Libs who have blamed everything from stupid voters, to grand conspiracies with voting machines on thier loses. They have refused to admit that they as a party are on the fringe of American politics. If the Dems do take control of Congress it'll be because of dissatisfaction with the GOP, and not because America agrees with them.
If my party loses this November, it will be because they have lost focus and strayed from their root issues. In which case, I welcome a loss. Nothing seems to bring clarity of vision and a renewed sense of purpose better than a loss every now and then. It'll only take two years of a Congress ran by the likes of Pelosi and Schumer for the country to wake up and realize the mistake that was made. Hopefully by that time, the GOP will have come up with a leader that can actually make coherrent sentences and arguments. Having Newt back in Congress wouldn't hurt either.
