So Tom, I believe like you that the deployment probably isn't to wage war with Iran just before the election but there certainly would be motivation for the Bush administration to do so.
Let's just go out on a limb here and pretend that what Lindy has come up with is true. If it were, there would be a coverup story to divert attention like the one you cited.
What would your reaction be if we did strike out militarily against Iran right before the congressional elections? Would it finally be the action that actually cause some outrage in you?
