The things that people think are insults reveal everything about the insulter, and nothing at all about the insultee.

"The vast majority of homosexuals are Democrats"..."Gay and attracted to young men - just like the vast number of hardcore leftists"....oh, Techie, I laughed and I laughed. To people who genuinely don't care about other people's sexuality, and in particular aren't threatened by it, your "insults" carry all the sting of accusing people with blue eyes of having brown eyes. To shift only slightly to the realm of attempted racial insults, when the pot calls the kettle black, it tells you everything about the pot's secret fears.

SDAI-Tech1, if you're gay, it's OK. Nobody here will think any less of you. No need to try and throw up those defensive barriers to deflect attention. No need to adopt the Foley strategy of pretending to be opposed to what you really like. Methinks the Techie doth protest too much, when protest is not necessary.
