I just have to tell you, SDAI-Tech1, that that response was some piece of work. Is there a bigoted cliche you didn't hit? The Laguna Beach "liberal arts community"? Had a lot of experience in theater, did you? You're a California native, like that determines your sexuality?

Leaving aside the rhetorical nonsense, don't try to deflect attention from the intent of your nastiest comment by reiterating the slippery statement "The vast majority of homosexuals are Democrats"--that much is no doubt technically correct, since I'd imagine homosexuals wouldn't find the GOP a particularly welcoming party. Not saying the GOP's overtly homophobic, merely that its policies on such things as gay marriage suggest a certain, shall we say, lack of warmth, toward homosexuals.

No, no, Techie, it was "Gay and attracted to young men - just like the vast number of hardcore leftists" that was your most outrageous attempt to apply a homophobic insult. Untangling your florid syntax only makes it clearer: "the vast number of hardcore leftists [are] Gay and attracted to young men".

That was unmistakably a homophobic insult, the self-revelatory kind I'm talking about.

What's most bothersome is that by making this about homosexuality, you're trying to keep alive the old false old slur that homosexuals are child molesters, by equating condemnation of exploiting children and stalking them on the Internet with "gay-bashing". That's a foul insinuation, SDAI-Tech1, on many levels.
