Remember Robert, I'm a California native.

I lived for years near Laguna Beach and have seen first hand the liberal arts community in action, their politics and the demographics of other such California enclaves. All the old bookstores in San Diego are in a tiny suburb called Hillcrest and they have their own pride parade. I know the demographics, based upon my own travels through life - and most folks here should know them too.

So my experience is that homosexuals in the US are easily 70/30 Democrat vs. GOP in party registrations - and if anything, I'm probably off by another 5-7%.

Interpreting as what I said as an insult means one is a homophobe. The fact is lots of hard leftists are liberal, virulently liberal because they see the right as a threat.

Sure the right has a good number, especially in politics and religion. The whole far religious right is probably chock-full of closeted folks.

Again, my point is not to gay-bash - far from it - I just had to laugh at the desperation of the left to make this most newsworthy story of the week, considering their own demographics.

But go ahead and blow my words out of proportion. This issue is always a hot potato here and I always end up getting scalded.
