My first skateboard

was a pair of steel-wheeled roller skates bolted in-line to a hunk of 3/4 inch plywood. Outside edges of wheels about 4 inches apart, none of the wussy wide-tracked boards the kids use these days. No pads or helmets either. (Hmm... I wonder if that has anything to do with my knees today?)
