Not how I learned.

I started with comic books. Moved to science fiction. Went to coffe-table books, one of which could have been a textbook for a class. I wish I could remember the particular book that was.

By the time I got around to taking an astronomy class at the local junior college, they did not have much to teach me (some specific constellation and star name stuff mainly).

I've only been observing 4 or 5 times in my life.
