Okay, I long ago dealt with everybody in the universe speaking English (Star Trek mentioned the "universal translator," and then threw it out the window. I never did see anyone actually using one. Farscape had a clever "Babel Fish" solution.)

I also long ago learned to overlook everyone looking like humans, although Star Trek the Next Generation had a long series of "Silly Putty" aliens, where someone would bust open an egg of Silly Putty and make "aliens" by sticking gobs of it on their necks, foreheads, cheeks, or whatever.

But neckties?
