Yes...
As a person who consideres science and technology on almost a religoius level, I have no problem with the evolution of truth whatever it reveals. The exoplanets are wonderful to me not so much to 95% of the population
It is harder than we expected and until science reveals some of the wonders that we imagined in the past, space will be a hard sell for the kind of missions that only governments can afford. Cheap access and the opportunity to make a profit will solve the problem someday.
Eventually we will do it like we did it on Earth with Adventurers and profiteers instead of the unified effort of humanity we once imagined.
