...is based on the same fallacy? Industry deciding that they need more of a certain sort of college graduate is silly because there's no proof that the problem isn't that the current crop is not working hard enough?

You need to demonstrate that the bad guys used to spend more of their time in terrorist meetings and partying than they do today. Show me.
