Most of the major terrorists have been in this business a long time. Of that entire list of FBI wanted terrorists, how many were bookstore clerks until March of 2003?
In fact, have any major terrorists been found who suddenly went into the business only after we invaded Iraq? Got any names?
Now, if you want to talk illiterate cannon fodder, the kind of mindless idiots who are talked into driving the car bombs, a big speech on facing the evil Americans in Iraq might just be the trick. Of course, Afghanistan would do just as well.
Remember, when al Qaeda was founded, we had no troops in either Afghanistan or Iraq.
This "creating terrorists with Iraq" is a comforting idea that has the equally comforting corollary that if we surrender in Iraq, all the bad guys will just go away.
