You guys are overcomplicating things
Cell phones don't have keyboards. To type a text message you have to "chord", either holding down more than one key at once, or hitting a key multiple times to advance to a particular letter. Sending text messages is tedious and can cramp your fingers as well as your style. I don't "text" (the new verb) because it's a pain, but I might if I could just dictate the message.
