The consumer seems to just love bells 'n' whistles. Can't figure it out myself, but my son and wife both get enormous glee out of having the latest and greatest phone gadgets. I thought that was the pervue of the "Man of the House™" but I'm quite happy with my catastrophically-outdated, 3-year-old cell phone.
However...I can think of an application of the "voice to text" feature Tom mentioned: when my wife calls and asks me to look something up for her like a phone number or address (I'm more often in front of a computer than she is), I prefer to text the info back to her. As a nurse it's sometimes impossible for her to drop everything just to take the return call.
Being able to simply speak the number and have it go to her as text would be kinda cool as I'm not exactly lightning fast with the phone keypad.
