Far be it for me

To raise my head above the parapet in any challenge to you Mary Anne.

I know who has the sharper sword, and it ain’t me.

But, Military service must require a certain temporary suspension of a few Rights that Civilians enjoy. While I am sure there are any number of personnel in Theater at this moment who oppose the Shrub’s policies, they must set them aside for the moment and do their duty. The center of a firefight is no place for debates.

It is a soldier’s right to bitch, as long as they don’t make a national Magazine editorial out of it. IOW, do your job and save the public complaints for the day you are discharged. When you come home you can go to the press, but until then? Shut up and follow orders. Even Kerry kept his mouth shut until he came home.

Hard to understand if you’ve never served, and I’m quite certain Bowser & Co will disagree.

But, then again, they do have the right.

That’s why we served, to protect the right the Second Amendment sets forth.

Frankly I'm glad that a number of higher ranking officers have spoken out on the mess in Iraq since their retirement. Unfotunately, the Admin isn't listening at all.
