Apply that rule about irritability as a moderator

What about stating EP is not an engineer constitutes evidence of being riled up? What about pointing out he is not mathematically inclined constitutes being riled up? Both are factual IMO. I don't have to be pissed off to have that opinion or express it. The first is substantiated by EP's own words, the second by his responses to math based posts in the past. If you have any evidence to the contrary please explain yourself.

If your attitude is that pointing out someone who is prounouncing a technical judgement might not be qualified to do so constitutes banned behavior, I question your relative priorities between accuracy and civility. While questioning someone's math ability can't be done in a way that sounds nice or "positive" I also question an attitude that questioning someone's lack of doing the math should be out of bounds on a space board. You know damn good and well that questioning someone's math is a legitimate part of scientitic debate and anyone unwilling to do the math on a cost effectiveness or scientific feasibility issue has questionable authority on the issue.

I had no wish to engage EP on this issue or initiate a flame war with him. My goal was simply to infrom Sawyer of the relative importance of EP's comments. 2 short and simple sentences. If you have a better moderator approved way of doing so please demonstrate. Robert has my E-mail address if you'd rather do it in private.

Your response in deleting the post seems to be more of a knee jerk irritable response than my original comment to Sawyer. This is especially true given a light handed approach to another post obviously directed at EP of a far more subjective nature. Judge my posts by my words not EP's response. It is outrageous that even short relatively mild comments on the accuracy of EP's comments should be deleted simply because we all know that any contradiction is likely to set him off on a foul mouthed tirade.
